Sister of John F Kennedy remains in critical condition
Eunice Kennedy Shriver, 88, has suffered a series of strokes and was in critical condition at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable. Her children and family have travelled to be with her, including her son-in-law, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He’s married to Shriver’s daughter, Maria Shriver.
Shriver is the fifth of the nine Kennedy children. She’s perhaps best known for her work to establish the Special Olympics. She organised the first Special Olympics in 1968, inspired in part by the struggles of her mentally disabled sister, Rosemary.
Messages are being posted on a tribute wall at EuniceKennedyShriver.org.
