A TEENAGER and a 25-year-old appeared in court yesterday accused of trying to kill a man by pouring acid down his throat.

Two in court over pouring acid down victim’s throat

The 24-year-old victim, believed to be Danish, was left fighting for life after being attacked with sulphuric acid and stabbed twice in the back in Marchant Road, Leytonstone, east London, on July 2.

Police denied reports they have warned a married Muslim woman — who was allegedly having a relationship with the victim — that her life was now at risk.

The two men, from east London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded in custody.

The victim suffered 90% burns in the attack last month.
