Inquiry into MP expenses

AN inquiry into the expenses scandal that has rocked politics should report its results by October, the head of the probe said, adding he was “shocked” by the abuses of the system.

Christopher Kelly, the chairman of the Committee on Standards in Public Life, told BBC television he was speeding up the process in response to public fury over lavish expenses claims.
