Toddler, 3, buys mechanical digger for €9,000 online

A NEW ZEALAND mother’s decision to take a nap after bidding for some toys online backfired when her three-year-old daughter took over the mouse and bought a digger for nearly €9,000.

Pipi Quinland made the NZ$20,000 bid on the Kobelco digger at the auction site TradeMe while her parents slept, the Rodney Times newspaper reported.

“The first I knew about it was when I came down and opened up the computer,” said Pipi’s mother, Sarah Quinlan.
