Potts: ‘Enjoy each step’

BRITAIN’S Got Talent’s 2007 winner Paul Potts has advised this year’s sensation Susan Boyle “to take each step as it comes and enjoy each step” in her bid to emulate him.

Potts, 38, wowed the public and judges with his rendition of Nessun Dorma in the 2007 edition.

Boyle’s performance of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables has already proven a YouTube sensation, earned her an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show and a namecheck on The Simpsons.

But the 48-year-old from Blackburn, Scotland is yet to claim the title in the 2009 show.

Potts, has been a recording and touring success since the competition.

“At the moment the competition is still going. It hasn’t ended yet.

“I’m performing on the finale. The most important thing is to take each step and enjoy each step as it comes.”
