Dead woman’s ashes stolen

A THIEF stole the ashes of a woman that were about to be scattered, police said.

The ashes were in a dark green paper carrier bag stolen from the boot of a car belonging to Cilla Nickson parked near Petersfield, Hampshire.

Inside the bag were a cremation certificate and a travel urn containing the ashes of Nickson’s mother.
