Accused buries face in hands as crime scene shown in court

A COURT in Italy has been shown graphic video footage of the crime scene where a British student was killed, prompting the American accused in her slaying to bury her face in her hands.

Amanda Knox held her head when images of Meredith Kercher’s body were shown in court. Knox and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito are on trial for the killing. Both deny wrongdoing.

Knox had been exchanging smiles and whispers with Sollecito from a distance, but she turned sombre when a prosecution witness aired videos showing the blood-splattered room, Kercher’s face and her foot sticking out from a duvet.
