Snipes at party while on bail

PROSECUTORS in Florida said actor Wesley Snipes attended a lavish party in Dubai while free on bail as he appeals a tax conviction.

US attorneys in Ocala are asking a judge to restrict Snipes’s travel outside the US because he attended a $20 million (e14.7m) party last November for the opening of the $1.5 billion (e1.1m) Atlantis Hotel resort.

A jury convicted the action star last year of three counts of wilfully failing to file his income taxes. He is free on bail while he appeals the convictions and his three-year jail term to the 11th Circuit Court in Atlanta.
