Shoe off: Wen targeted by protester

A HUMAN rights demonstrator threw a shoe at Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao during a lecture yesterday.

Onlookers in Cambridge said the shoe landed several feet away and the prime minister was unhurt.

The protester was sitting about 20 rows away from the premier and threw the shoe after standing and shouting: “How can you listen to this unchallenged?”
