Cheerleading 34-year-old sent to mental facility

A WOMAN who enrolled in high school under her daughter’s name and tried out for the cheerleading squad has been committed to a mental health facility for three years.

Wendy Brown, 34, was found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to a charge of identity theft.

Records show Brown attended one day of classes last August at Ashwaubenon High School and practiced with the cheerleading squad while posing as her 15-year-old daughter, who was living with a relative in another state.
