Her explosive eight-year marriage to the late iconic soccer player, George Best, may have ended in 1986 but she is still one of the world’s best known WAGs.
The self-help guru has flown from her Malibu home to give six couples a marriage makeover for a new BBC series entitled You’re Not the Man I Married.
The mother of Calum Best will give her matrimonial advice in George’s hometown.
She said: “The sanctity of marriage is precious and so it’s nice to give a helping hand to those committed to it.”
The English beauty was introduced to the first superstar soccer player at a dinner party in Los Angeles after he had left Manchester United.
They married after a whirlwind relationship but their volatile relationship came to an end after less then a decade, with him returning to England and Angie remaining in America with their only child.
The six-part series is set to revamp husbands and reignite the spark in the marriages of the six featured couples.
She said: “It’s inspirational, real life love stories each of which celebrate marriage and highlight all the fun, commitment and hard work any relationship needs for happiness and survival.”
Angie Best, who is a former trainer to the stars, finds out how each couple wants to improve their relationship and then brings in her team to work on the relationship.
The woman in the marriage is sent off for two days and the husband’s makeover begins with a string of experts giving him advice on a healthy marriage.
Family therapist David Kavanagh and stylist Cathy Martin give the couples a complete makeover for their romantic meeting after their time apart.
Executive producer Stephen Stewart said: “If it looks like the series is just about giving husbands a hard time then people are in for a few surprises and we hope the series strikes a chord with every viewer, whether married or not.”
