TV star Locklear arrested for driving offence

ACTRESS Heather Locklear, who sought medical help for depression earlier this year, was arrested over the weekend near the coastal city of Santa Barbara.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the 47-year-old star of television shows such as Melrose Place was arrested on Saturday night by officers with the California highway patrol.

Celebrity website TMZ.com said she was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription drugs, and was released without having to post bail.
