Biden a foreign policy heavyweight and great orator but prone to gaffes

SENATOR Joe Biden ran for the presidential nomination against Barack Obama, but dropped out when it became clear he could not win.

The 65-year-old represents Delaware and has been a senator for 35 years.

A foreign-policy heavyweight, he recently visited Georgia to voice his support for the government.
