Jury fails to reach verdict in 7/7 bombs trial

A JURY failed yesterday to reach a verdict in the trial of three men accused of assisting the suicide bombers who killed 52 people on the London transport network on July 7, 2005.

Waheed Ali, Sadeer Saleem and Mohammed Shakil were accused of visiting the London Eye, the Natural History Museum and the London Aquarium to pinpoint potential targets during a trip seven months before the 2005 bombings.

Judge Peter Gross released the jury after they failed to reach a verdict after 66 hours of deliberations, but said there would probably be a retrial.
