Grandfather arrested over triple axe murder

A 69-YEAR-OLD Australian man suspected of hacking his two grandchildren and wife to death with an axe and badly wounding his daughter was arrested yesterday.

Police were questioning the suspect last night, hours after the attack in Cowra, 250km west of Sydney, a police statement said.

Police had earlier identified the man as John Walsh and released photographs to allow the public to help find him.
