REAL-LIFE supergran Maria Graham could have Britain’s largest family.

The 87-year-old’s brood of 117 offspring spans five generations and includes seven children, 30 grandchildren, and 74 great-grandchildren.

And the clan keeps growing - the latest arrival, great-great grandchild number six, Connor, was born a week ago.

“I must be daft to have so many but I think it keeps me young.

“When my first great grandbairn was born I thought how lucky I was but now I have so many I lose count. It’s a full-time job just to keep track of them all,” she said.

Mrs Graham worked hard to support her family, first as a baker, then in factories and as a barmaid in a working men’s club.

When her family last had a get-together more than 200 men women and children packed St Joseph’s Catholic Club close to her home in Benwell, Newcastle, to the rafters.
