Sean Penn: Working on film about 2004 tsunami

US ACTOR-DIRECTOR Sean Penn, who this year is head of the Cannes festival jury, comes to the film extravaganza bringing his own romantic plot.

It might be titled “Three Women and a Fest”, or words to that effect, with Penn facing his wife, ex-wife and 2008 Oscar date all in the space of a week.

Penn’s second wife Robin Wright Penn is in Cannes as the co-star with Robert De Niro of What Just Happened by Barry Levinson, which closes the festival on May 25. The couple filed for divorce months ago but recently got back together.
