Johnson favoured to end Livingstone’s London run

TODAY millions of British people will vote in local elections while Londoners will be selecting a Lord Mayor for a new term of office.

There is little doubt that the local election results and their impact on a general election is of vital importance for the continuing leadership of Prime Minster Gordon Brown and the Conservative leader, David Cameron.

There is also a challenge for the Liberal Democrats as heavy losses would bring into question the leadership of Nick Cleggs.
