Britney in hospital after battle for custody

BRITNEY SPEARS was removed from her home on a stretcher following a custody dispute that lasted nearly three hours before an intoxicated Spears reportedly turned over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Officers were called to the home about 8pm, and the 26-year-old singer turned over the children at about 10.50pm, said Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman.

The pop singer was escorted from her hilltop home overlooking Beverly Hills in one of three ambulances that was part of a convoy of nine police vehicles and a handful of other cars.
