Shot kills woman and child at new year’s party
Police later arrested 25-year-old Pedro Cortez at his Denver, Colorado home on investigation of two counts of first degree murder, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
Mr Jackson said he couldn’t comment on the motive for the shooting because of the investigation but earlier police said it was possible the shot could have been fired by someone celebrating the new year.
