Toddler escapes injury on 4-mile airport conveyor

AIRPORT bosses have launched an investigation after a two-year-old girl escaped serious injury when she was carried on a baggage conveyor belt.

The toddler walked through an empty check-in desk at Manchester Airport and hopped onto a conveyor belt.

She was whisked down the four-mile long tunnel of the conveyor system before she became trapped and was rescued by an engineer.
