Singer’s husband on bribery charge

THE husband of singer Amy Winehouse charged with trying to bribe a pub landlord to drop an assault claim returned to court yesterday.

Blake Fielder-Civil, aged 25, allegedly offered James King, licensee of a pub in Hoxton, east London, a large amount of cash to leave the country and withdraw a claim over an attack which prosecutors say took place last June.

Winehouse, currently touring Britain, exchanged looks with her husband throughout the hearing and when he mouthed at her: “You all right, you OK?” She responded: “Yes”.
