‘Vast majority of missing cases end happily’

FOR the vast majority of families whose loved ones go missing the resolution of their case is quick and culminates in a happy ending when they are discovered unharmed.

The resolution might not lead to them being reunited with their family, but at the very least it brings an end to the torture of not knowing where and how they are.

For the families of Vicky Hamilton, 15, and Dinah McNicol, 18, both of whom were last seen in 1991, what had happened to the two girls took more than 15 years to come to light.
