Blair breaks silence over Brown relationship

FORMER British prime minister Tony Blair has lifted the lid on his turbulent relationship with Gordon Brown — insisting he was “not bothered” that the chancellor plotted against him.

Mr Blair also claimed he could have remained in Downing Street for longer if he had wanted, despite the widespread perception that he was forced out by the Brown camp.

Mr Blair broke his silence on the pair’s stormy rows in a documentary for the BBC, due to be broadcast next week. The Blair Years features behind-the-scenes footage from the ex-premier’s final days in Number 10, along with contributions from senior members of both cliques.
