Hollyoaks beauty Gemma Atkinson, former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren and Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Koo Stark are among those tipped to take part in the reality show.

ITV bosses are yet to officially confirm the line-up.

But Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins, 70s supermodel Janice Dickinson and Changing Rooms designer Anna Ryder Richardson are all on the provisional list, according to reports. Some of the C-listers are in need of the career boost that an appearance on I’m A Celebrity can bring.

Marc Bannerman was last seen on TV playing EastEnders’ Gianni di Marco until his role was axed in 2000.

Football legend Rodney Marsh was sacked from his job as a Sky Sports pundit in 2005 after making a bad taste joke about the Asian tsunami. And 90s pop duo Right Said Fred’s last brush with fame was an appearance in a washing powder advert.

Other names in the frame are Jason “J” Brown from defunct boyband Five, TV chef John Burton Race, panto king Christopher Biggins, PR guru Lynne Franks, singer Cerys Matthews and Chris Tarrant’s estranged wife Ingrid.

The show starts on Monday. Producer Richard Cowles said of the celebrities: “They’ve little idea what they’re in for.”

Ant and Dec will again present the show, now in its seventh series, where the celebrities will try to spend two weeks in the Australian jungle before being voted out by the public.

The last series attracted an average audience of 8.1 million viewers in Britain and a 34% share of TV viewing, peaking with 10m and a 42.6% share.
