A NEW YORK couple sued a florist for $400,000 (€281,700) for using the wrong colour flowers at their wedding — a mistake the newlyweds said caused them “extreme disappointment, distress and embarrassment”.

Elana and Toby Glatt had requested $465 centrepieces in “deep and dark colours of fuchsia, rust and green”.

Instead Posy Floral Design Studio, which charged almost $30,000, used cheaper flowers and the centrepieces appeared “predominantly pastel pink, almost white”, according to the lawsuit filed.
