Heartbreaker no more: Zeppelin to rock again
Yesterday, Plant met with the remaining members of the iconic outfit, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones, to discuss the plan which has been rumoured all year.
āWell weāve got a band meeting about it this afternoon. Thereās not a lot to work out as itās only going to be a one-off gig,ā Plant was quoted as saying on the NME website last night.
Indications are that the reunion will be a charity concert in London towards the end of the year. The hottest rock ticket of modern times is likely to be organised by another legend, promoter Harvey Goldsmith.
The formation of Led Zeppelin in the summer of 1968 would change the course of rock history.
After nearly 40 years, the group continues to inspire generations with their groundbreaking blues-infused, guitar-driven rock ānā roll.
Arguably the biggest rock band in the world during their 12-year reign, they remain one of the most influential and innovative groups in music history.
