Many babies off to flying start, survey shows

BABIES are the new jet-setters clocking up an average of more than 3,600 miles in planes before the age of one.

Nearly 20% of children take a long-haul flight in their first 12 months, a survey by Prima Baby magazine and toy company Fisher-Price found.

On average, parents take two holidays a year with their babies, with 68% revealing the first plane trip comes in their child’s first year.
