Doctor in MMR scandal to face panel

THE British doctor who sparked the MMR controversy will appear before a disciplinary panel today.

Dr Andrew Wakefield and two other doctors will stand before Britain’s General Medical Council (GMC) accused of serious professional misconduct.

The trio, who face being struck off, published a paper in The Lancet medical journal in February 1998 suggesting there could be a link between the triple jab, bowel disease and autism.
