Put on the red light: Police tickets sell out in 90 minutes

SEND an SOS to the world — another concert will be needed to satisfy Irish fans of the reformed Police.

It took just under an hour and a half for the band’s concert in October to sell out yesterday. Only a week after the gig was announced the €86 tickets rushed out of shops and online sites as soon as they hit the market at 8am.

Managing director of Ticketmaster Ireland Eamonn O’Connor said the level of demand had been anticipated.
