Short Beck and sides for squire David’s new country gent look
The footballer is known for frequently changing his hairstyle and has previously shocked fans by shaving off his floppy blond locks, growing a ponytail, having a mohawk cut and wearing African-style braids.
His latest look is more conservative — a functional short back and sides with a bit of length left on top.
He revealed the latest cut at the Sport Industry Awards 2007 in London, wearing a black tuxedo, open-necked white shirt and black cravat.
His wife Victoria Beckham, dressed in short black dress and heels, accompanied him to the event celebrating commercial achievement in British sport.
Beckham said of his new haircut: “I needed a change. I think I’ve had the same haircut for two years now and I was getting slightly bored. You know it’s part of something that I do.”
He said there was no truth to reports he and Victoria were having problems.
He said: “There are some people who’ve been saying we’re sleeping in separate bedrooms, and we’re looking for a bigger house to get bigger bedrooms, but we’re used to that. Victoria’s working hard to find a school for the kids, to find the perfect house for us, so she’s a strong lady.”
