Hike in armed police patrols after shootings

MORE armed police officers will be deployed to the streets of south London in a bid to halt an “unprecedented” spate of shootings which has claimed the lives of three teenage boys.

Scotland Yard yesterday announced it was setting up a special task force to help investigate after yesterday’s killing of Billy Cox.

The shooting follows the deaths of James Andre Smartt-Ford and Michael Dosunmu, both also gunned down in the past two weeks.
