Man lay dead in hurricane-hit home for a year

A POTENTIAL buyer inspecting a house in Texas damaged by Hurricane Rita over a year ago was shocked to find the remains of the 51-year-old owner inside.

Neighbours in the town of Beaumont said they thought Larry Euglon, described as a loner, had been evacuated during the devastating storm in September 2005.

But his body had been in his home all the time, where the dining room table was still set with placemats, china and wine glasses.
