AN 84-year-old World War II veteran has won a €195 million lottery jackpot.

Jim Wilson II bought the $5 winning ticket just an hour before last Wednesday’s draw.

He selected it from a group printed out in advance by a clerk trying to deal with the last-minute rush prompted by the huge prize on offer.
