Chancellor joins Take That on sexiest men list
The aspiring Prime Minister even pips Arctic Monkey Alex Turner, 21, and Kate Moss’ boyfriend Pete Doherty, 27, in this year’s top 100.
Mr Brown, a newcomer in the list, who at 55 is the oldest sexiest man, takes 97th place in the survey of more than 10,000 women.
The reformed members of Take That relight female fires in joint top place, followed by Bond hunk Daniel Craig.
Last year Brad Pitt scooped the top spot, but the Hollywood star and father-of-three has now dropped to seventh place.
Singer Doherty plummeted from 18 in 2006 to 100 in this year’s rankings, in the poll for NW (New Woman) Magazine.
Prince Harry, in 34th place, is now ahead of his older brother Prince William, who is down 12 places to 37.
The youngest person in the top 100 is Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, 17, worth an estimated £14 million, at number 82.
Tom Cruise drops nine places to 60, Kylie’s boyfriend Olivier Martinez falls 31 places to 41, and Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho drops from six to 38.
Others to fall down the list include David Beckham (from 14 to 20), Charlotte Church’s boyfriend Gavin Henson (from 21 to 63), Vince Vaughn (from 30 to 50) and former Celebrity Big Brother star Preston (from 26 to 69).
Pirates Of The Caribbean star Johnny Depp takes third place, followed by Orlando Bloom, Jake Gyllenhaal and George Clooney.
The Chancellor’s possible future electoral rival for Number 10, David Cameron, takes 87th place, up from 92 last year.
X Factor judge Simon Cowell makes the list for the first time, in 96th place.
