Venezuela proposes ally Bolivia for UN position
UN ambassador Francisco Arias Cardenas said FFF that Guatemala has suggested Costa Rica as an alternative candidate. But Guatemalan Foreign Minister Gert Rosenthal denied that, saying: “We’ve never proposed an alternative country.”
Mr Arias Cardenas said talks had been held to discuss options since neither side has been able to muster the needed two-thirds majority.
