The study also showed that one-in-10 children were not able to name a single continent and more than 20,000 children in London failed to know they lived in Britain’s capital city.

National Geographic Kids magazine questioned more than 1,000 six to 14-year-olds to mark its British launch but highlighted gaps in children’s geographical knowledge.
