One-in-five British children can’t find Britain on map, study reveals

ONE-in-five British children cannot find Britain on a map of the world, new research showed.

The study also showed that one-in-10 children were not able to name a single continent and more than 20,000 children in London failed to know they lived in Britain’s capital city.

National Geographic Kids magazine questioned more than 1,000 six to 14-year-olds to mark its British launch but highlighted gaps in children’s geographical knowledge.
