US GOVERNMENT investigators want to question would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid because they believe it is likely he has “important information” about terrorist activities.

US investigators want to build up ‘rapport’ with Reid

Prosecutors argued in the US district court that Reid was no longer involved in any criminal cases and was not entitled to be represented by a defence lawyer indefinitely.

Reid, a self-confessed follower of Osama bin Laden, pleaded guilty in 2002 to trying to blow up a transatlantic flight with explosives hidden in his shoes.
