POLICE in London were last night preparing to dig up a convicted paedophile’s garden following a tip that two children might have been buried there.

It emerged last night that the letter which sparked the search was passed to detectives a year ago.

The document alleged that remains dating back more than 30 years were buried at the property on the New Addington Estate in Croydon, south London, where pensioner Leslie Ford-Thrussell used to live.
