Cruise outguns U2 in celeb Top Ten

HIS antics of late may have been bizarre, but pint-sized Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has been ranked the most powerful celebrity in the world by the influential Forbes Celebrity list.

Despite leaping around wildly on the Oprah Winfrey show last year and declaring that scientology, can cure post-natal depression, it seems the box office pulling power of Mr Cruise is enough to put him top of the Forbes list.

He earned over $67 million (€53.1m) for his role in the remake of War of the Worlds this year.
