Two children dead in flood

FLOODS triggered by heavy rainfall caused tents housing agricultural workers to collapse in central Turkey, killing two children, officials said yesterday. One person was reported missing.

The children - both aged 12 - drowned overnight after being washed away in floodwaters after a creek in the town of Cadirardic in Yozgat province burst its banks, local Mayor Ahmet Demirel said.
