GARDAÍ are carrying out forensic tests on bloody handprints left by two men who savagely beat and raped a 17-year-old girl.

The blood, belonging to the teenager, was smeared on the wall of a laneway off Wellington Quay in Drogheda where the attack took place.

Two sets of prints belonging to the two men are clearly visible at the scene, which has been examined by garda forensics.
