Scientific use of human embryos amounts to murder, warns Pope

POPE Benedict has firmly underlined the Catholic Church’s opposition to abortion and, in particular, scientific research on the unborn.

In an address in the Vatican city, he said God saw embryos as “full and complete” humans.

Aborting or manipulating embryos, he said, amounted to murder.
