Modest Jerry Hall keeps her clothes on
Model Jerry Hall posed as Venus in a real-life tableau of the artist’s most famous work.
But the star did not come out of her shell enough to dispense with her clothes as she posed in a shop window for top London store Selfridge’s.
Instead the Texan kept her white gown on, unlike the subject of the Florence-born artist’s The Birth Of Venus who was naked but preserved her modesty with her flowing locks.
Hall appeared in the window display yesterday, staged by Evian water, to launch the department store’s month-long Body Craze theme.
The Oxford Street store is celebrating the human body in a variety of ways over the coming days with exhibitions, performances and a tattoo studio and piercing parlour.
