Leaders attend Naude funeral

Desmond Tutu and Jean Bertrand-Aristide were among those attending the funeral in Johannesburg of Afrikaner cleric and anti-apartheid activist Beyers Naude yesterday.

Naude, who spent half his life using the Bible to justify apartheid before becoming one of the anti-apartheid movement’s most important moral voices died, at 89, last week.
