Contraceptive pill to rival patch to be launched

A NEW contraceptive patch set to rival the Pill will become available in Ireland next week, it was confirmed yesterday.

The Irish Family Planning Association's Dr Sheila Jones said the patch is set to be launched early next week on a prescription-only basis.

The contraceptive patch became available in Britain for the first time yesterday.
