Guitarist charged

ALEX Zivojinovich, the lead guitarist for the rock band Rush, has been charged with assault following a New Year’s Eve scuffle with police at a Florida hotel.

Police said the fight started when Zivojinovich’s son Justin refused to get off the stage at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, where the house band was performing.

Zivojinovich was charged with two counts of battery, while Justin Zivojinovich, aged 33, was charged with resisting with violence. Alex Zivojinovich’s wife was later charged with resisting arrest.
