Village buried

A LANDSLIDE buried a village in southern Kyrgyzstan late on Monday, killing 33 people including 16 children, emergency officials said.

The landslide covered 13 houses in the mountainous Budalyk village in Kyrgyzstan’s Alay district, about 430 miles south of the capital, Bishkek, Emergencies Ministry spokesman Emil Akmatov said.
