MOST Irish voters trust the EU more than they do the Government or the Dáil. They believe the European elections are important and that the European Parliament affects their lives.

In light of this, it's surprising that less than a third say they will definitely vote in the elections on June 11 while another 48% say they are likely to vote.

Voter turnout all over Europe has been dropping, except in Belgium because of a legal obligation to vote.
