‘Alert not alarm’ as Britain gets security conscious

TOURISTS were urged last night not to panic after anti-terrorist measures and police patrols were beefed up across London.

Concrete blocks were placed around the Houses of Parliament in a bid to stop terrorists driving bomb-laden vans into the building.

Meanwhile armed police patrolled Heathrow airport and security at the Britain’s other terminals was also said to be under constant review.
